If you are a remote worker, founder, or freelancer spending time in Barcelona and you have not heard of Norrsken House, you are working from the wrong place.
Norrsken House Barcelona is a 7,600 square metre beachfront building spread across four floors, with a rooftop that overlooks the Mediterranean. It is Europe's largest tech and impact hub, home to over 1,300 members from the startup, founder, and investment communities. The building was built for people who are serious about their work and want to be surrounded by others who feel the same way.
We are based in Barcelona and Norrsken is where we work. Here is an honest review after spending real time there.
The Space
The workspace floors run from one to three and cover every format you need. Open-plan flex desks for people who want to move around, dedicated fixed desks for those who prefer a permanent spot, private offices for teams, and phone booths scattered throughout for calls that do not need an audience.
The design speaks for itself. A double-height glass atrium floods the ground floor with natural light. Rattan pendant lights hang from the ceiling above a mix of lounge and work seating. The Norrsken neon sign glows warm against the natural materials. It is the kind of space that makes you want to stay longer than you planned.
The fourth floor is the Club space with access to the cafe, barista, and the rooftop. Membership includes events, a community of founders and investors that is genuinely active, and access to the building 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The internet is fast and stable throughout.
The View
The location is beachfront. From the upper floors, this is what you see through the window: Barceloneta stretching out, palm trees, the Mediterranean, the city skyline curving around the bay. On a clear day, you can see boats on the water and people on the beach from your desk.
For remote workers who chose Barcelona partly for the lifestyle, that view is not a small thing. It shapes the quality of a working day in ways that are hard to quantify but easy to feel.
The Community
1,300 members focused on tech and impact means you are surrounded by founders, investors, operators, and people building things. The quality of the ambient conversation in a space like this matters. You hear things. You meet people. Deals happen over coffee at the communal tables.
It is the kind of community where a conversation that starts at the espresso machine turns into a partnership meeting. That has happened to us here more than once.
After Hours
When the workday ends, the building does not close. The rooftop bar is one of the better spots in this part of Barcelona for an evening drink. The curved wooden counter, the warm lighting, and the Norrsken sign glowing behind the bar. It is the same space where you spent the day working, transformed for the evening. That continuity, work and social life in the same building, is part of what makes membership feel like more than just a desk.
Inner Flow: The Gym Downstairs
Here is the part that most reviews miss. Directly downstairs from Norrsken is Inner Flow, a gym that is genuinely one of the best in Barcelona. If you exercise as part of your working day, having a serious facility in the same building removes the friction entirely.
Inner Flow is a proper setup: strength training, cardio, classes, recovery. Not a hotel gym. For remote workers managing their own schedule, the combination of a world-class coworking space above and a serious gym below is something most cities cannot offer.
This is the best place in Barcelona to work.
