Barcelona, Spain (July 13, 2025) –– RentRemote, the global platform for premium mid-term rentals designed for remote professionals, announced today it has partnered with BitPay to begin accepting rent payments in cryptocurrency. The initiative spans RentRemote’s work-ready apartments across Europe with plans for expansion to additional international markets—marking one of the largest crypto-forward moves in the professional housing industry.
Through BitPay, the world’s largest provider of cryptocurrency payment services, RentRemote will accept rental payments in a variety of digital assets including:

- Ethereum (ETH)
- Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC)
- Dogecoin (DOGE)
- Litecoin (LTC)
- USD-pegged stablecoins: GUSD, USDC, USDP, DAI, and BUSD

This crypto payment capability is available immediately across RentRemote’s portfolio of apartments in major European cities including Barcelona, Lisbon, Berlin, and Paris. The rollout will soon extend to Latin America and North America, supporting RentRemote’s growing network of high-performance living spaces.
RentRemote also plans to offer optional crypto payment tools for property partners and explore payroll integrations allowing hosts and contractors to receive compensation in digital assets.
